It seems like we are getting a 2nd WrestleMania-esque event this year in the form of the "Greatest Royal Rumble" PPV in Jedah, Saudi Arabia! They've been hyping up this event as some sort of second coming of WrestleMania and it seems to be that way since the card is stacked with potentially great matches and the stadium ain't gonna be your typical "house show" tour the WWE usually does, they are actually spending tons of dollars on this! Well in this case I guess it's riyals? Every single championship in the WWE will be defended sans the Women's titles for obvious Arabian tradition reasons, which is a story in itself for another time. Plus some special attraction singles matches too featuring The Undertaker vs Rusev and John Cena vs Triple H. Of course to top everything off we are gonna be getting a HUGE 50 Man Royal Rumble at the main event! That's right not 30, not 40, but 50 wrestlers competing in what I'll assume for a title shot in the future. Big names such as Daniel Bryan, Kurt Angle, and the returning Chris Jericho are already confirmed entrants, I'm sure we'll see more of the main roster guys and some possible surprises down the line too! After all they have to fill up 50 entrants. This is shaping up to possibly be the greatest WWE event of the year and it's all thanks to the riches of Saudi Arabia! Let's take all the issues aside for now and hopefully enjoy the show that is bound for greatness. It's in the name after all. So without further ado, below is my preview and predictions for the whole card! Vacant RAW Tag-Team Championships: |
RAW: Big Show Braun Strowman Kurt Angle Apollo Crews Titus O'Neil Elias Goldust Mojo Rawley Dolph Ziggler Chad Gable | SD: Daniel Bryan Big E Kofi Kingston Xavier Woods Shelton Benjamin Sin Cara Shane McMahon | FREE AGENTS: Chris Jericho Rey Mysterio Jr. The Great Khali Mark Henry |
Forget the undercard, this match alone can sell out tickets and can be just the sole match for the whole event! How crazy is this?! Whoever in Saudi that managed to pull off to set up this event sure had LOTS AND LOTS of cash to offer WWE cause this is some next level booking craziness!
Okay enough marking out, let's go to the match itself. There are already plenty of confirmed participants from both RAW and SmackDown brands. Hell even Authority Figures such as Kurt Angle and Shane McMahon are included in the mix as well.
But not only that some confirmed returns are pretty much guaranteed for participation in the Rumble match: Chris Jericho, this will be his first match back in WWE after testing the waters against Kenny Omega in NJPW. We also got the returning Rey Mysterio and the recently inducted Hall of Famer: Mark Henry.
Forget all of them though as an even bigger legend will be making his presence felt back in the WWE and that's none other than a former World Champion himself, Punjabi's very own: The Great Khali! Yes folks, the big Indian boy everyone "loves" entered himself in the fray. Hooray! You're loving this aren't you?!
As for the match itself I think the winner gets a tropy of some sorts and possibly a future title shot of their choosing? That latter part wasn't emphasized but I think it's the most logical option really.
So who actually wins the whole damn thing? There are so many possible outcomes but if I have to pick one, I shall do it the smark way and that is choosing Daniel Bryan. What better way to showcase his return than winning the inaugural 50 Man Royal Rumble? If anyone deserves it in my view, it is none other than D-Bry himself.
Whoever else wins though, you won't receive any complaints from me, except possibly Great Khali? Yes, except Great Khali.
Prediction: Daniel Bryan
