Welcome to MWC's Wrestler of the Week where every Friday we feature a wrestler from the past or present using a random generator and talk about their career and other information! This week's featured wrestler is current WWE Superstar and member of The Wyatt Family; Luke Harper. Real Name: Jonathan Huber Birthday: December 16,1979 From: Rochester,New York,USA Height: 6'7'' Weight: 264 lbs Debut: October 2003 Twitter: @LukeHarperWWE Facebook: Luke Harper - WWE Ring Names: Luke Harper Brodie Lee Huberboy #2 Notable Titles: WWE Intercontinental Championship WWE NXT Tag-Team Championship NWA Empire Heavyweight Championship NWA Southern Television Championship UPW Heavyweight Championship 2CW Heavyweight Championship (2x) JAPW Heavyweight Championship Promotions Wrestled: WWE ROH FCW NWA CZW UPW IWA Mid-South CHIKARA Jersey All Pro Wrestling EVOLVE Wrestling Dragon Gate USA Pro Wrestling Xtreme Jonathan Huber or better known today as WWE's Luke Harper started out his career on small backyard wrestling promotions with his brother. Then on 2007 his career took off as he was re-packaged and got the ring name "Brodie Lee." Under this gimmick he wrestled for various promotions such as Chikara,Ring of Honor,Evolve Wrestling,Dragon Gate USA,and Jersey All Pro Wrestling just to name a few in which he found a lot of success! After his great run in the indie scene, he went to WWE's developmental territory; FCW (later re-branded as NXT) in 2012 and wrestled as "Luke Harper." Harper joined in The Wyatt Family and together with Erick Rowan, they were a one-time NXT Tag-Team Champions! The Wyatt Family made their debut on the main roster and had a lot of memorable feuds against other superstars and tag-teams. The most memorable feud for me that they had was against The Shield, those 6 men had one helluva great match at Elimination Chamber! After The Wyatts disbanded in 2014, Harper found a decent solo run for himself as Intercontinental Champion! He defeated Dolph Ziggler for said title but only held it for 27 days after dropping it to Ziggler. He also competed in the Ladder Match for the Intercontinental Championship in WrestleMania 31 but failed to capture the belt again. Currently Luke Harper is back with The Wyatt Family and is trying to gain their momentum back to once again rise to the top in the WWE! |
