Ladies and Gentlemen... I think we just witnessed the greatest NXT TakeOver in history! And possibly the best WWE Event of the year! From the opening bout up until the main event, the third installment of NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn has been nothing but amazing! I think the show definitely lived up to the hype Triple H gave it as the "WrestleMania of NXT." Without further ado, let's just get right in to reviewing this great show shall we? Andrade "Cien" Almas def. Johnny Gargano We kicked things off with the opening match between Andrade "Cien" Almas and Johnny Gargano. After being betrayed by the bastard Ciampa, Gargano focused his sights on a singles run. Ciampa on the other hand is sidelined with an injury for now. Almas on the other hand found himself a valet in the form of Zelina Vega who also worked for TNA before as Rosita. This was a good match to start the night with it's fast pace action! These two rarely slowed down during the whole match, reminded me of a match you'll usually see on PWG! Just some overall great back and forth between Gargano and Almas, setting the bar high for the rest of the card. There were some close finishes and submissions here and there but it was the destraction from Zelina to Gargano that sealed the deal for Almas. Zelina threw a DIY shirt to Gargano, while Johnny Wrestling was having some flashbacks, Almas took advantage and defeated him with an amazing DDT for the 1,2,3! NXT Tag-Team Championships: |
