So for this blog were gonna do something a little different,we ain't counting down anything but more on examining or reviewing all the superstar releases on 2014. We will see if it was really worth it of releasing them or if they should have stayed in the company. Let's get this rolling! Alberto Del RioIf ya'll remember Alberto Del Rio was released due to misconduct after assaulting an interviewer who allegedly pulled off some racist comments to Del Rio. Both Del Rio and the interviewer aren't right here, first off why would you piss off and tell racist comments to a goddamn professional wrestler and mma fighter? Well Del Rio on the other hand should have just chill himself and let the authorities do the punishing to the reporter. After Del Rio loss the WWE Championship,it kinda went downhill for him. He had a babyface run (which is god awful) and had some various random feuds with other superstars. He's now doing well for himself in his home country; Mexico where he currently wrestles for AAA. There are also rumors flying around that he might return in his MMA career. Good luck for him! AksanaAksana never found big success in the WWE. She was mixed up in various love storylines with Goldust and Teddy Long. She also became Cesaro's valet when he was just starting off. After those Aksana got partnered with Alicia Fox and the team didn't last very long ended up in a random feud. She never got close on helding the Divas Championship belt and it is seen from the start that she'll just be release in the future which happened. Brodus ClayWhen Brodus Clay made his debut on WWE,he was this big heel monster who terrorizes everybody in his way (kinda like Ryback!) Unfortunately he got injured when he returned he became this weird dancer gimmick (less cooler than Dusty Rhodes and Rikishi) and became the "Funkasaurus." Yes he did win some squash matches but that wasn't enough for him to win any belts. He did had some hot backup dancers though; Cameron and Naomi who are still in WWE's roster and on there reality show; Total Divas. Also Brodus got partnered later on with Tensai (turned Sweet T) and it was just an awful gimmick that ended in another boring feud. Brodus Clay had his last few months with the WWE on NXT where his notable feud was against Adrian Neville. After that he was released. Brodus is currently on TNA under his new ring name; "Tyrus" (who thought of that name?!) and is currently alligned with Ethan Carter III (Derrick Bateman.) CM PunkCM Punk didn't really got released but quit for what? Well a lot of reasons. By now you probably know why Punk left WWE,if not then you're missing out so go listen to Colt Cabana's Art of Wrestling podcast here! It was a huge loss for WWE when Punk left. As Punk said,he had more merch sales than John Cena before! It's sad how WWE treated him like trash (according to Punk himself.) Punk's wife; AJ Lee is still currently with the WWE although according to rumors she might leave very soon as well. As you all know CM Punk once again broke the internet after announcing that he will pursue MMA this time after signing a contract with UFC. He has been training now with MMA legends Royce Gracie and Dan Severn. Were not so sure what will happen to Punk until we see him fight but hopefully it won't be a flop unlike what happened to Batista who had a bad MMA career what I'm sure he would like to forget! Curt HawkinsIt's kinda shocking to know that Curt Hawkins has been with the WWE since 2006! But it seems like the company never had big plans for him. He has been partnered to quite a few wrestlers, most notably; Zack Ryder and Tyler Reks. He never really got close to anything big and if I'm not mistaken he never won a belt in WWE (although I might be wrong.) His last few years with the company is nothing but getting squashed and basically being treated as a jobber. Curt Hawkins is back on the indies under his real name; Brian Myers. Drew McIntyreFor a man who was Vince McMahon's "Chosen One" Drew McIntyre never really got big in the WWE. Yes he did win the Intercontinental title but that was mainly about it. He got into some random feuds and tag-team partners but never main evented any PPV. Like in the CM Punk situation,McIntyre is a big loss for the company as he had so much potential but it was all wasted thanks to the Network not getting too many sales. His final years was involved in a group with Heath Slater and Jinder Mahal and they were the infamous; 3MB. They never got close to winning the tag-team belts and there last feud was against the Los Matadores. Drew is back on Europe and is doing well for himself there in various promotions. Evan BourneEvan Bourne is without a doubt one of the greatest highflyers of this generation! The thing is WWE didn't know what to really do with him. Plus on his final years with the company,it was nothing but bad news for him. First he was injured so he has to take some time off, then he failed WWE's wellness policy test so he's out for 60 days, and after that he was involved in a serious car accident. Nothing has gone well for the young man! When Evan Bourne did finally return to the WWE,he had some few matches on NXT but he was then released along with 10 other talents. He's now back in the indies under his former ringname; Matt Sydal. The Great KhaliAt first I actually kinda like Khali when he debut on WWE as this big monster heel guy who targeted on The Undertaker. It was a decent feud. But just like Brodus Clay, everything went down when he became the dancing punjabi playboy! Remember the Khali kiss cam? Yeah that bs! His career after the heel run was nothing but kissing and jobbing. Also everytime when he enters the Royal Rumble, the commentators would take him as a serious threat and would be hard to eliminate because of his size but everyone would just gang-up on him and SHAZAM! he's out. If I'm not mistaken his last match was against Rusev where he got squashed by the "Bulgarian Brute" and he was even featured on Botchamania for his failed kick! The Great Khali is nothing but another giant flop in the WWE like Giant Gonzalez. Jinder MahalJinder Mahal was a decent wrestler but like most everyone on this list,WWE doesn't really got big plans for the guy. First he was involved in a feud against The Great Khali which led to nothing. After some more various and pointless feuds,he then got involved with the infamous: 3MB. Jinder Mahal is actually a good heel wrestler and is now like most people on this list, back on the indies. JTGOh yes,it's the infamous: JTG. The man that WWE seems to forget until he was made fun of in the internet! JTG as we all know started off his career with his friend and tag-team partner; Shad Gaspard as the Cryme Tyme which a tag-team I actually liked and enjoyed watching! But when Shad got released,JTG was left by himself and it all went kinda downhill from there. He was nothing but another jobber in the roster, until the day came when he didn't wrestle at all but was still in the company! But of course the WWE probably heard the internet and decided to release; JTG. It sucks because JTG actually has the skills to wrestle and charisma but it was all wasted in his stay in WWE. He's now in the indies and reunited with his buddy; Shad! Wanna buy some Cryme Tyme merch? Go here! Ricardo Rodriguez (aka El Local)Ricardo Rodriguez is of course the fun manager and personal ring announcer; of Alberto Del Rio. Ricardo had some fun moments in the WWE and he also wrestled for the company believe it or not as; El Local. He was Kalisto's tag-team partner before Sin Cara came in NXT. Ricardo is actually a great wrestler and before he came to WWE,he wrestled in various Lucha Libre promotions as Chimaera where he found decent success. He was then recruited in WWE and trained on FCW but when he finally debut on WWE all of his skills were "removed" from him until he made his debut as El Local. Unfortunately El Local and Kalisto's tag-team run together was cut short after Ricardo was released from the company. A few months after his release he did a shoot interview (I forgot the site sorry!) Yoshi TatsuAnd finally to end off this blog,we got Yoshi Tatsu. The young japanese man actually had a decent run at the beginning but he never became a main eventer. Yoshi was involved in various storylines and tag-teams but that didn't got him to anything big really. He's actually a very talented wrestler (mainly a highflyer) and had some charisma to the fans too! Yoshi is now back in his home country Japan but recently got injured after in a match against AJ Styles after The Styles Clash (AJ Styles' finisher) gone wrong. Get well soon Yoshi! Thanks for reading!
